Our new strategy focuses on widening participation and deepening learning in support of the ROH's overall aim for many more people to enjoy and engage with exceptional ballet and opera. The programme guides teachers and students through the story of Bizet's Carmen, equipping them with the skills, ideas and confidence to create their own opera right in the classroom, linking to the requirements of the music and other curriculum areas. For over forty years we have worked in education providing high quality, bespoke programmes.Ĭreate and Sing: Carmen is a dramatic-singing programme for primary KS2 designed for, with and by teachers. The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden has been an epicentre of performance excellence for 300 years.
